Chris Strickling

Chris Strickling has lived in Izamal, Yucatan, for seven years. Raised in Texas, she can endure the heat and the rainy season and she has enough Spanish to get by. She has a Ph.D. in English literature and is almost always involved in a writing project. If you visit the modest home she designed and built in 2013, you might catch her working in one of the many small gardens she has created. She’s most at home when she’s riding her bike in the early morning, cooking dinner for friends, or writing the next short story that beckons her.
